The bigger the event, the less likely it is that the DJ is taking requests. If the DJ is hard to walk up to or talk to, it is not likely the DJ is taking requests. DJs at smaller clubs might take a request at the right price, but larger clubs with choreographed lighting cues, video walls, and rehearsed sets are no place for requests.
